Since the word "petra" means "rock", what better album cover to start off with than a massive carved stone? (or is that a sand castle?)
the tunes:
I picked this album up (in the original vinyl product form) when I was about 15 years old (that's been a while back.) It's definitely what I'd call classic rock. All except "Lucas McGraw" which shows Bob and the boys know how to have a bluegrass hoe-down from time to time (tongue firmly in cheek here ;-). I especially like the groove on "I'm Not Ashamed" and the crunchy riffs on "Get Back to the Bible". If you're into the 70's rock sound or are just curious about the band's orgins or want to be a serious collector of all things Petra, then put this album on your shopping list.
